Continuing Care for Patients of Dr. Michael Fox
Welcome to Pacific Medical Group
If you are a patient of Dr. Michael Fox and Silverlake Acupuncture, we want to make your transition of care as smooth and comfortable as possible.
Dr. Fox has spent many years caring for patients with thoughtfulness, skill, and personal attention. As he transitions away from active practice, he has referred many of his patients to Dr. Michael Yang at Pacific Medical Group for continued care.
Dr. Yang and Dr. Fox have known each other professionally for many years, have shared patients over time, and have a meaningful overlap in their approach to complex pain, pelvic health, reproductive concerns, and individualized acupuncture-based care.
We understand that changing practitioners can feel unsettling, especially when you have worked with someone you trust. Our goal is to provide a clear, respectful, and clinically thoughtful next step.
To schedule, please call Dr. Yang at Pacific Medical Group at 323.899.3531 and let us know you are a patient of Dr. Fox.
A Thoughtful Transition of Care
Many patients coming from Dr. Fox’s practice have longstanding or sensitive health concerns. Some have been treated for chronic pain, pelvic dysfunction, reproductive health concerns, stress-related symptoms, or complex conditions that do not always respond well to conventional treatment alone.
At Pacific Medical Group, we take these concerns seriously.
Your first visit will include time to understand your history, what you were working on with Dr. Fox, what helped, what did not help, and what kind of care you are hoping to continue.
We do not assume that every patient needs the same treatment. Some patients may want continuity with a familiar style of care. Others may benefit from a fresh evaluation and a more updated treatment plan.
Either way, we will begin carefully.
About Dr. Michael Yang
Dr. Michael Yang has over 25 years of clinical experience treating pain, stress-related disorders, complex musculoskeletal conditions, pelvic dysfunction, and men’s health.
His work combines acupuncture, dry needling, functional medicine principles, manual assessment, and modern anatomical approaches to care. In recent years, Dr. Yang has developed particular expertise in ultrasound-guided dry needling, allowing for more precise treatment of deeper muscles, tendons, fascial structures, and pain-generating tissues.
For patients with chronic pelvic pain, male reproductive concerns, prostatitis-like symptoms, hip and low back dysfunction, or difficult-to-explain pain patterns, this kind of careful anatomical evaluation can be especially valuable.
Dr. Yang’s approach is both traditional and modern: grounded in hands-on clinical care, but informed by anatomy, physiology, nervous system regulation, and the realities of complex chronic symptoms.
Shared Areas of Clinical Focus
Dr. Fox and Dr. Yang have both worked with patients whose concerns require more than a rushed or generic treatment plan.
Common issues we may help with include:
chronic pain
neck, back, hip, and pelvic pain
male pelvic dysfunction
prostatitis-like symptoms
testicular, perineal, or groin discomfort
urinary urgency or pelvic tension
erectile or reproductive health concerns
stress-related physical symptoms
complex musculoskeletal complaints
post-operative pain and dysfunction
patients who have not improved with standard treatment alone
Not every condition is treated the same way, and not every patient is appropriate for every technique. The first step is always a careful evaluation.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first visit is designed to help us understand your case clearly.
We may discuss:
your primary symptoms and health history
your treatment history with Dr. Fox
what treatments were helpful or unhelpful
relevant imaging, labs, or medical records
pain patterns, posture, movement, stress, sleep, and lifestyle factors
your goals for ongoing care
Depending on your condition, treatment may include acupuncture, dry needling, manual assessment, lifestyle guidance, functional medicine support, or referral to another specialist when appropriate.
If you have records from Dr. Fox’s office, you are welcome to bring them or request that they be sent to us before your appointment. If records are not available, we can still begin with a thorough intake and evaluation.
Do You Already Have My Records?
In some cases, records may need to be formally requested or transferred with your written permission.
To protect your privacy, medical records cannot simply be shared without the proper authorization. When you contact us, we can guide you through what information would be helpful to bring or request.
Helpful materials may include:
recent treatment notes
relevant lab results
imaging reports
medication or supplement lists
prior diagnoses
your own notes about what treatments helped
Do not worry if you do not have everything. We can still start with your history and build from there.
For Patients with Male Pelvic or Reproductive Health Concerns
Many of Dr. Fox’s patients sought care for sensitive conditions involving pelvic pain, reproductive function, sexual health, or chronic discomfort.
These concerns can be difficult to discuss, and many patients have already seen multiple providers before finding someone who takes the full picture seriously.
At Pacific Medical Group, we approach male pelvic and reproductive health with discretion, clinical seriousness, and respect.
Symptoms may involve the pelvic floor, hips, low back, abdomen, nervous system, circulation, stress physiology, or a combination of factors. Our goal is to understand the actual pattern rather than reducing your symptoms to a single generic label.
For selected patients, Dr. Yang’s work with ultrasound-guided dry needling may offer an added level of precision when evaluating and treating musculoskeletal contributors to pelvic and reproductive dysfunction.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Dr. Yang taking over Dr. Fox’s practice?
Dr. Fox is transitioning away from active practice and has referred patients to Dr. Yang for continued care. We are available to provide thoughtful continuity for patients who would like to continue treatment.
Will my treatment be the same as it was with Dr. Fox?
Dr. Fox and Dr. Yang share overlapping clinical interests and a similar seriousness about individualized care. Dr. Fox and Dr. Yang are collaborating on patient care transfer to optimize the smoothest continuity of care. You will begin with an evaluation so we can understand your current needs and decide on an appropriate plan.
Do I need a new evaluation?
Even if you were recently treated by Dr. Fox, Dr. Yang will need to understand your history, current symptoms, and goals. This helps ensure your care is safe, appropriate, and tailored to your situation. Most evaluations can be done on the same day as your first treatment.
Do you treat male pelvic pain and reproductive health concerns?
Yes. Dr. Yang works with male pelvic dysfunction, chronic pelvic pain, prostatitis-like symptoms, groin and testicular discomfort, urinary/pelvic tension patterns, and related musculoskeletal or nervous system contributors. He has been working in men’s health since 2001.
What is ultrasound-guided dry needling?
Ultrasound-guided dry needling uses real-time ultrasound imaging to visualize muscles, tendons, fascia, and surrounding anatomy during treatment. This can allow for greater precision, especially when treating deeper or more complex musculoskeletal structures. It is not appropriate for every condition, but it can be useful in selected cases.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
If available, please bring any records you have, including prior treatment notes, imaging reports, lab results, medication lists, and relevant medical history. It is also helpful to write down your main symptoms, what makes them better or worse, and what treatments have helped in the past.
How soon can I be seen?
Please call our office for current availability. We will do our best to accommodate patients transitioning from Dr. Fox’s practice.
